We are offering industrial heat treatment services since 1992. We are
accustomed with various types of heat treatment procedures and services like-pre-heating, post-heating, stress
relieving(SR), intermediate SR, normalizing, solution annealing, water quenching, tempering, step cooling, drying of
refractory material.
We did industrial heat treatment of simple material like CS, MS, and also critical
material like P9, P11, P22, P91 etc. We are capable of doing heat
treatment of jobs having diameter as big as 16500 mm and as small
as 12.5 mm thickness ranging from 240mm to 4 mm.
We are carring out heat treatment of equipments like regenerator, stripper
column, pressure vessel, boiler headers, modules, deck pipeline and
structure, boiler heater tube, and also Dotherm testing.
We have enough resources like 220 and 80 volts panel, latest 12 point
recorder with digital display, coil and pad type heating element,
oil firing systems over and above skilled technician.
We are designing, fabricating, calibrating and running electrical
furnace of our own for jobs in India and abroad.
What Is Heat Treatment?
Heat Treatment is the controlled heating and cooling of metals to alter their physical and mechanical
properties without changing the product shape. Heat treatment is sometimes done inadvertently due to manufacturing processes
that either heat or cool the metal such as welding or forming.
Heat Treatment is often associated with increasing the strength of material, but it can also be used to
alter certain manufacturability objectives such as improve machining, improve formability and restore ductility after a cold
working operation. Thus it is a very enabling manufacturing process that can not only help other manufacturing process, but
can also improve product performance by increasing strength or other desirable characteristics.
Steels are particularly suitable for heat treatment, since they respond well to heat treatment and the
commercial use of steels exceeds that of any other material.
Where is Heat Treatment used?
In heat treatment, we have carried out pre heating, stress relieving & post heating for heaters,
furnaces, reformers, boiler piping, plant piping, cross country pipelines, pressure vessels, steel mill rollers, tube sheets,
structural jobs & windmill flanges. We are also carrying out normalizing, tampering shrink fitting & hardening
onsite. We have carried out local stress relieving of largest C/S joint in India by electrical resistance heating (FCC
Re-generator for RPL, Jamnager, carried out at L&T Shop, Hazira, size being 16.3m dia x 48mm thk.) & thickest job
(Hydro cracker for CPCL., Chennai carried out at L&T Hazira 3.82meter dia x 228mm thk.). Recently, We have started LSR of
vessels (5meter O/Dx130mm thk. -4meter heating band) with low voltage (80V). We are also operating therlak/ box type furnaces
at L&T, Hazira. We are carrying out Heat treatment at 220V/80V.
